Prince's Life: The Memory of a Beautiful Cat

The Other One here. If you're reading this post you probably know about the lost of our beloved Prince Pinchi. We are devastated about his death and our eyes haven't stop leaking since this morning. Here's the story.

Prince used to sleep outside in his fun-park, but last night, it was raining and very windy, so he decided (well, his Mom decided it for him) to sleep inside the house. About at 4:00 AM, Prince started meawing for his wet food, so the Mom woke up and gave him what he wanted. A few minutes later, I heard someone coughing and, inmediately, the Mom calling me telling that something was happening to Prince. I went inmediately next to him, called him and touched his chest. At that moment he stopped his cough and his breathing. I shaked him a little, touched his face and grabbed his front leg, but nothing happened. Then the Mom told me to put some alcohol in front of his nose and I did that, too, but nothing happened either. He was gone and we were there looking at him speechless. Then began the crying.

Our dear Prince did honor his name. Since he came to the house after Pirulo, he couldn't be the king until Piru died, but that didn't stop him to develop a very strong and complex "catonality".

We was strong, a fighter, a hunter and, as I used to call him, "a Houdini cat". He was a fighter because he didn't wanted any other cats near the house. Once, another cat came to fight with Piru, but Prince went out and put the other cat to run. He was a hunter because there wasn't any mouse or lizard that he couldn't catch. And he was a Houdini cat because every fun-park that we build had to be Prince-proof or he would find any tiny gap or crack to escape and go hang-out the rest of the night. All this characteristics made him be a very independent cat; he was always alone, always by himself, coming to us only for food and letting us stroke him just a little every now and then.

But, after Piru's death, Prince became more social and sweet with us. One night, I was determined to make friends with him, so I insisted until I teach him how to eat from my hand. That meant he put the bitey on me a few times, but it was worthed because then he loved to eat his prawns out of our hands.

If I can't use the computer, then anyone can't use it either.

Just checking there are any prawns lost around here.

Prince began to spend more time inside the house, meawing more and, for the first time, we heard him purring. I remember I called the Mom and said that Prince was purring, she couldn't believe it. With the time, he became more closed to us.

Oh, I'm really comfortable here.

I remember the first time he sat on my feet, the first time he licked my hand, when he sat on my lap and the first time he slept by my side at my bed. Of course, he did all that with the Mom, too.

We really don't know what happened to him last night, we think it was his little heart. But, we are sure of something, he was too young to die and we will miss him everyday, as we miss Pirulo. We'll miss his company, his strokes, his beautiful eyes and even when he put the bitey on us.

In Memoriam of Piru

Hello, Prince here. It's been a whole week since Piru crossed OTRB. The family is still very sad, specially Mom, and we all miss him very much. Neither Mom, nor The Other One, has been in the mood to write in the blog, so I volunteered to do it.

Pirulo Furry (2002-2011)

I think that the most special characteristic that my brother Piru had is that he was always a happy and affectionate cat. So, I think that we should remember him that way. Today, I'm going to share with you the last pictures and the last two videos of him. I hope you can enjoy viewing his happy last days.

You know how Piru was always saying that he was not fat, just a husky boy. Well, he decided to start an exercise regiment to demonstrate he was as fit as anyone else. His favorite exercise was this one:

Of course, after an exercise routine, what's better than a good nap?

Can you burn calories while napping?

Another thing that Piru used to hate was to be brushed. Is not really that he hated that, he loved it only if it was on his head and neck. But Mom always wanted to brush aaaaaalllllll his body and that he couldn't stand. But, this time he decided to give Mom the pleasure of brushing him in her lap. He complained a couple of times, but Mom did it with caution.

The family want to thank with all our hearts all the messages that Piru's friends have been sending us through the blog and the Twitter account. We also want to thank Max, Mario, Rumbles and Ty for their posts about Piru on each one of their blogs to remember my brother. We are very thankful of Brian and The Cat Blogosphere for the beautiful image prepared In Memoriam of Piru (the one on the right margin). To all Piru's friends and to all the others that never met Piru, but stop for a moment to send us their condolences, purrrrs, smoooches and blessings, thank you very much.

We are not still sure what will happen with Piru's blog. But we'll tell you as soon as we take a decision.

To end this post, I want to publish a little letter that I found one morning at my side. It's a good bye letter from Piru to Mom.

My beloved Mom:

I want to tell you that I love you very much. You have been the best Mom a cat can have. I know you love me from the very first time you saw me, and I have been loving you from the very same moment. I'm so very grateful of all warm cares you have given me my entire life. Thank you for never giving me up, even in difficult times like when I broke one of my legs, when I was terribly ill or even the time I was lost for three days. Thank you for always trying to please me by building all the fun parks (7), even though I loved to hang out freely; I know you did all that to protect me. I know that, sometimes, I was a grumpy little boy when I wanted to go out and peed some of the furniture; but, you didn't stop loving me. That's why you were always my favorite person in the whole world, that's why I loved to sleep in your bed and sit at your side every night to watch TV. I know that my sudden departure have been very difficult for you. I wasn't planning on doing so, but it was something that I couldn't control. I want you to know that I left in peace and with you in my heart. I don't want you to suffer for my absence any more, but to always remember the good times we had together. Remember that I always looked up to you as my protector and that I loved been loved by you. Remember me as the one that brought you many days of happiness with my witty catonality and my very handsome presence. Please, never forget me. Mom, everything is going to be okey- =^..^= Ola kala!

Piru died today

Several hours ago my beloved companion Piru has died. He went to sleep this morning and never woke up. He was 8 and a half years old. We had a simple funeral at home with family members that loved him very much. We will surely miss him. We had a special bond that will last forever because, when you lose someone you love so much, the love stays the same although they are not physically present.

Sometime we will post his last video with me (Mom) and the last pictures we took of him, just days ago.

Tutorial: "How to Take a Bath" (Dog Version), by Liah

Hello, Piru's friends. As you know, I'm Liah, Piru's sister. I'm the house's Princess, but even that privilege position doesn't free me from frecuently baths. So, today, I'll share with you the bath process, my version.

FIRST: You have to catch the unsuspected victim, I mean, me.

SECOND: You have to remember to not let the shampoo get into the eyes.

THIRD: Don't let water get into the ears either.

FOURTH: While bathing, say supporting words to your dog, been wet takes away some of our pride.

FIFTH: Begin the drying process with the face, please.

Are we done, yet?

SIXTH: With long hair, use the blower in the cool setting.

SEVENTH: Dry the entire coat, even behind ears.

Oh, I'm already tired.

Well, that's all. Now, if you excuse me I have to sleep for the rest of the day. This bath leave me exhausted.

Tutorial: "How to Take a Nap", by Prince

Taking naps is a very serious matter to all cats. We grow up to be masters of the nap-taking arts. That's why, as a public service, I decided to develop my first tutorial with this theme in a few simple steps.

First, you have to feel tired and want to rest a little.

It's important to yawn.

Second, you need to find the perfect spot, wherever it is, even if it's in the bed or the top of the TV.

Third, it begins the napping process per se: stay still so the stress goes away.

Fourth, close your eyes slowly.

Fifth, let go of your body.

Sixth, move slowly until you find the perfect position.

Seventh, move periodically to maintain a balanced body temperature.

Eighth, if it's too cold you can make yourself into a donut.

Now, here are some examples of napping positions:

Fan-base position.

Cascading position.

Cross-paws position.

Stretch position.

Edward-scissor-hands position.

I hope this tutorial can serve you well.

Piru: The House's Cook

Oh, today was a really hard day, I worked a lot!!! What was I doing? I was at the kitchen aaaaaalllllll day, cooking and cooking because my human brother and sisters were coming to dinner. Here's what I cooked:

I added a banana leaf for more flavor.

Roasted turkey with lots of garlic. Mmm, delicious!

Potato salad with onions, apples and a lot more.

My family was all very happy with all the food. Well, my work here is done, now it's time for a very well deserve nap.

Terrible News

Do you remember Tiger, the lost Boxer-mix dog that came to my house?
Apparently, he was lost or someone threw him near my house. Well, Mom and The Other One, out of compassion, gave him food everyday until they could find Tiger's owners or a new owner for Tiger.

Yesterday, one of the neighbors was complaining about Tiger telling Mom that he was ruining her garden, but I didn't underestand, because she has a fence in front of her house. Mom told her that she was looking for an owner for Tiger because we can't have him inside the patio. That neighbor have said before that she doesn't like animals, any of them.

The terrible thing is that this morning, Tiger wasn't around, but Mom had to go to work, so she left. This afternoon, The Other One was calling him and calling him, but he never came. She asked one of the neighbors and he told her that he thought that someone wanted the dog and, maybe, they took him. But she said she can't believe what he's telling her. Mom went to the neighbor that was complaining and she told Mom that she doesn't know anything about Tiger. The thing is that, she has a party tonight. Is it only a coincidence that the dog disappeared the night before her party? I don't think so!!! The Other One thinks that one of the neighbors- maybe that one- took the dog and threw him anywhere else, far away from here. She was devastated and weeping a lot.

I think that everyone has the right to like or dislike animals, it's a personal choice. But it's not the same to dislike something and to HATE something. Only a person that hates animals can do such a terrible thing like take an animal that isn't yours and threw him away.

I wish we can find out what really happened with Tiger and help him someway, but I doubt that any of the neighbors will tell the truth. One of The Other One's friend told her that the person that did that will have a bad karma for what he did. I don't really know if that can be truth, but I sure hope he or she can realize that it was a terrible thing to do and be sorry for his actions.

We Are Cats

It is true that I'm a little different from other cats around my house in some ways. First, I have a special Mom that works very hard to make me happy- or almost happy, you know I love to hang out free wherever I want-, and that she loves me and my sibblings very much. That's why she worked so hard to make us a fun park to be comfortable. I'm also special because I can write a blog and communicate with friends all around the world; neither of my neighbors' pets can do that. And, of course, I'm very special because I'm very much more handsome than anyone around here, and that's my humble opinion. But, all that uniqueness doesn't refrain me, or my brother Prince, to do the things that cats normally do. Prince, as my asistant, will show you an example. Here's a video of him enjoying himself while playing with a laser beam. I hope you like it, too.

Reading Is Not Just For Dummies

The Other One has a new iPod, so she gave Prince her old one. Prince was thrilled, but he did not understand quite well how to use it. So, he ordered online a book with instructions to use it. I thought it was a dummy decision, because it was a book for dummies. JOJOJO, how I laughed when it came on the mail! But, Prince sat down and read all that, now he says he's an expert. Me? I told him I don't need a dummy book to learn anything, do I?

But, I have a confession to make: without Prince's permission, I took the book and read it myself. I have to admit that it's quite good and easy to understand. I guess that, after all, you should read to learn about the issues that interest you, even if it's as simple as how to use an iPod or something more deep. Reading is not just for dummies, is for everyone. I wonder what my friends like to read about. Please comment.

Cousin Melo, from Texas

As I told you, all my loyal readers, Mom was in Texas visiting one of my human brothers. He has a cat, too: Melo. His name sounds somewhat like the word "mellow", and it's approppriate because his catonality is like that, he's sweet and affectionate. That doesn't help my cause because, inevitably, Mom did some comparisons. You know I'm a sweet boy and I like to be near Mom... sometimes. I like to be stroke only on my head, not the rest of the body, and I hate to be combed. Melo LOOOOOOVEEEEESSSS to be stroke alllllllll over his body, LOOOOOOVEEEEESSSS to be combed alllllll over his body and LOOOOOOVEEEEESSSS to be with people all the time. He meaws for all that and insist to be the center of attention at every minute. How can he be like that? It's obsessive! Now, Mom is telling me that I should be more like Melo and let her comb me and cuddle me all she wants. NO, I REFUSE TO BE LIKE THAT! I love Mom, but I have to draw a line.

Well, anyway, I have to admit that Melo is a cute guy. Here he is:

In Mom's visit to Texas, she went to San Antonio, and she loved it there. The place she loved most was the River Walk area. Here are some pics she took:

An Intruder

There's an intruder at the front of my house. It's a dog! Apparently he's a Boxer, a young one I can see. He just appeared here a few days ago and looked at Mom with sad eyes and she ran to give him water and some food. Now, she's gone, but he's not. So, the work is for The Other One. I have to admit that the guy is really friendly; The Other One talks to him and he seems to melt in front of her. I know she'd love to take him in, she's even calling him already by a name, Tiger, but he barks at Prince and me, so, the idea is eliminated. What she did today was entering to all the online services for lost and found animals and put his picture there. I hope she can find his family. Tiger seems like a good guy. We'll see...

Hello, my friends. I've been away on a forced vacation. Everything is all right, don't worry. It's only that, Mom and The Other One have been so busy that neither have had the decency of lending me their computers. That's why I keep telling Mom that I should have my own computer. Don't you think? Or, she can buy me an iPad, I'm not really that demanding. I think that, an iPad will be even better and more easy to use with my paws. I can do like this guy:

Anyway, let's hope Mom brings me one from Texas. Yes, she left me and went to visit my human brother that lives there. Don't worry for me, The Other One, The Guy and my human sisters are taking care of me. Virtual Community: Worldwide Friendship

A community is a group of individuals that have common interests. Originally, they were people that live near, but, with the Internet, a community can live worldwide (virtual community). This is the case of us anipals. We live in different countries, but we are virtual neighbors that care and look out for each other. That is what's happening with my dear friend Iñigo Flufflebum. Iñigo lives almost half the World away from me, but my heart is right there with him. He also has the hearts of many other members of our furry community from other countries. Why? Because he's sick and the possibility of crossing the RB has been mentioned; that's devastating for all of us. The Other One was reading Iñigo's update and got leaky eyes. A friend told her that she shouldn't feel sorry for a cat that lives sooooo far away. Apparently, that insensitive human doesn't understand the concept of virtual community where distance between bodies can be big, but there's no distance between hearts.

So, even if I'm at the other side of the World, I'm purrrring and purrrring and meawing happy love and energy for my dear friend Iñigo; for him to feel better and for his family to be strong for him. We love you, Iñigo, never forget that.

I love cameras, when I see one I make poses and show my floofy belly. But, Prince hates the flashy box, so, he gets annoyed when Mom or The Other One gets near him with that thing. Here's what happened to him:

I was lost, but Mom found me

Yes, I got lost yesterday. Uf, what a terrible experience! This morning, Mom let me go to my hanging out time at the backyard. Later, the garbage truck decided to visit my street. Prince and I got very nervous. Prince went to the door of The Other One and meawed, she opened the door and let him in. I, instead of doing the same as Prince, decided to run away. What?! Those trucks make a terrific noise, you wouldn't expected for me to think clearly during that stressful situation, would you?
Anyway, The Other One went out to go to her work, but didn't find me around, so she called Mom and told her that I was gone. Mom walked around searching for me, too, but didn't found me. So, she jumped into her car and drove all around the block several times calling me like crazy. I was inside a neighbor's backyard. I don't know how I got there because there's a very tall fence. When she returned home I heard her and, when she stepped out of her car, on the other side of the house, I called her. "Meaw?", meaning, "are you done yet driving around? Can you come pick me up like NOW?" She was so happy to see me. I was so happy, too, but acted cool (don't tell her).
After that, Mom gave me some prawns and left to work. I'm home safe with my family.

Angry Mom

Today Mom got angry with me; I'm not so sure why. The other day she was telling The Other One that she thought that I couldn't climb the fence. She didn't know that I was listening. Can you believe it?, she doesn't trust my abilities. Well, today I decided to show her that I'm a skillful cat; I thought this would make her happy, but that didn't happen. So, this morning I climbed up to the roof of the fun-park. I had a great view from up there.

I like to watch the world from up here.

Then, Mom saw me. She got scared because she thought that I was going to fall from the top of the fun park. "How did you get up there, you fat boy?"
"Silly, I'm not fat, I'm husky!" Then, I turned to show her my floofy belly.

Look, Mom, I'm still agile.

Then she really got scared and tried to grab me, so she place her feet over one of the tree's roots and there was a nail she didn't see, meaning she stepped on the nail. She began to shout some unpublishable words and began to call The Other One to help her.

Lucky Mom: the nail had a big head.

The Other One couldn't stop laughing because Mom's flip-flop got stuck on the nail. She was hurt, but did not cut herself.

They were both amazed that I could climb up there. I think I'll make this my daily exercise. It's one of those places she can't reach me. I dare Mom to stop me. He he he!

Family Friday: The Other One

I wanted Mom to have this shift and talk about her. But, she's at the sofa, belly up, watching TV. So, The Other One volunteered to write today's post.

Hi! I'm The Other One. I'm the neighbor Piru and Prince visit everyday to eat prawns. Yes, it's my fault, I'm the one that told Piru's Mom she should give them prawns and now they love them. Anyway, I like to receive Piru and Prince's visits. They come, eat, I pet them a little and then off they go.

I'm a little hungry. It's time to visit my neighbor.

Helllllloooo! Anybody home?

Are there any prawns waiting to be eaten?

Now, back to my hanging out time.

I think they like me because, the other day, they surprised me with a present that they bought and wrapped themselves (they told me that they wrapped it the best they could considering the lack of opposable thumbs.

"For my favorite staff after Mom."

It was a coffee mug with this inscription:

"Dogs have Owners. Cats have Staff."

I love the mug, but I don't understand why they say that I'm part of their staff if I only run home after work to let them go out to the backyard before the Mom gets home, serve them water and food, pet them, give them prawns, clean the fun park, pet them some more and give them some more prawns. Does that look like the work of staff to you?

I'm also the pet sitter when the Mom is traveling. I think the two boys don't mind as long as they have clean litter and their dinner plates are full. The one that really mind the absence of the Mom is Liah. Although she sleeps with me in my bed when the Mom is gone, I know that Liah misses her too much. She sits in front of the door waiting and waiting for her to come back.

I'm the real Mommy of Kala and Piccola (who crossed the Rainbow Bridge last June). Now I have to go because Piru is rushing me.

Piru here. As all the other humans, The Other One do other boring stuff, like go to work everyday, but that's not important.

Wishful Wednesday: Chilean Miners

As you know, probably, since last night and all the day today, the Chilean miners that were trapped way down under the earth have been rescued (at this hour I think there are only about 5 or 6 down there). This have been an event that some people compare with the landing on the Moon and other important achievements. It's been said that people around the Earth have seen the transmission from Chile, including me and The Other One last night. She was snoozing from time to time, but we wanted to watch at least the first miner comes out. It was very moving and many people cried, even if they didn't know the man.
Why am I talking about it? And, why am I wishful? Well, first, I wish all those men can come up safely, of course, including the rescuers. Second, I think there are many lessons everybody can learn of these miners' experiences. Even though those men found themselves in a situation in which they probably would never see the Sun again, they didn't lose something that helped them stay all those days down there: faith. Maybe not all of them were optimistic, maybe some of them didn't have real faith, maybe there were some discussions between them that we don't know, but the thing is that, instead of "eat" each other, they found out the way to support each other and share their strength. And, when you have faith in someone, in something or in some event, you can gain strength and share it with everyone around you.

When you share faith and love you duplicate your gains.

Two of my favorite phrases that the miners said are: "I was down there with God and with the Devil. They were fighting for me. God won, I chose the better hand." Other miner said: "We weren't 33 down there, we were 34 because God never left us."
So, my second wish is that Mom, The Other One and all of you, my dear friends, remember the lessons we learn from these miners. If you find sometime yourself down in a "cave" thinking that you'll never see "the Sun" again, think about the ones that found themselves in that real situation, but came out thanks to the support and love of their family, their friends, their rescuers and and their faith in God.

Family Friday: Kala

Hello. My name is Kala. I'm the oldest of the Furry Family; I'm 15-years-old... I think it's like a 105-years-old in a human. I have to begin my story with a confession: my real mom is The Other One. So, I'm going to call her Mommy, to differentiate her from Piru's Mom.

I have a big smile.

I came to live at grandma's house when I was a little puppy. Grandma took me to be the outside dog (guard), but Mommy told her that I was too little to stay outside by myself; so, I ended up been an inside dog. I was all black, except for a little white area at my chest. But now I have my face almost entirely white, that's because of my age.

I'm an old dog with a young spirit.

I'm very loyal to my Mommy. If she isn't home, I won't eat or go pee outside until she arrives; then, I'm myself again.

I love my mommy.

Oh, and here comes another confession: I used to hate cats. Yep, that's right. I used to bark at them so hard and run after them so fast that they lose one or two of their lives- JAJAJA... mmmm, sorry, I didn't mean to be disrespectful. But, my point of view about cats changed when I was still living at my grandma's house and Michi came to live there, too. I used to bark and run after Michi at the beginning, but, when Michi decided that she was going to live at the house anyway, so I learned to respect her and even play a little with her.

Then, Mommy moved out and, after a while I met Piru and his siblings. Piru and I have a very special relationship: I pretend that I don't see him and he tries to be away from me. I have barked at him a few times, but mostly because he gets near my dinner plate... and I can't accept that insolence. Prince is a little afraid of me, too. But I only want a little respect, I'm the senior, after all.

Now, some other facts about me:

Oh, this is life.

I don't like toys, not even a ball. What I love is to run, even at this old age. When I was younger, Mommy used to call me "Quickie", because I loved to run very fast all the time and to everywhere. I, also, love to roll around on the grass, even it it's a little wet. One of my favorite things to do is show my tummy and, if I receive a tummy scratch, is a lot better.

Would you like to scratch my tummy?

My biggest problem is that I'm very scared of thunderstorms and other strong sounds (like firearms shoots and fireworks). Even when it's raining I begin to get nervous and, when the thunderstorms begin I hide, pant and shake like crazy.

***shake-shake-shake***

There are two things that I do that drives Mommy crazy. The first one is when she takes me outside to pee and I take a loooooong time to choose the correct spot to do it. Sometimes, after I have smell all the backyard, I don't want to do it there, so Mommy has to take me to the front yard. She gets furious and ask me why do I have to be so choosy. She gets mad specially when she's in a hurry. The problem is that humans simply don't understand that you can't pee everywhere, it has to be the perfect spot. The second thing is that, when she's preparing my meal, I'm there waiting and wagging my tail, but when she puts down my dinner plate, I smell it and go away. I don't know why I do that, I simply go a few steps further and sit giving my back to her.

Why isn't a sirloin steak on my plate?

The problem is that, at that time, my sister Liah has ended her meal and wants to come to check out mine... and I don't like that a little bit. So, I growl at her or bark. To avoid that, Mommy takes away my plate for a while or puts me in a room with a baby gate on the door. I don't like it.

Mommy has tried to put some clothes on my, but I'm a natural girl. I don't like to put on clothes, but I love my collar. When Mommy puts it on after a bath I do some happy jumps.

I think I can't move.

Mommy, I'm not a cowgirl, get this thing away from me.

I've been a little sick lately. I have a problem of incontinence since I was a puppy. It was a problem easy to deal with, because it was just a few drops here or there. But these last days I've been drinking water like crazy, and peeing like crazy, too. Mommy says it's like a river. She's been having a lot of work with my situation, because she has to mop 5 or 6 times daily and to clean me frequently because I get wet. She gave me some antibiotics, but it didn't work. So, finally, she took me to the vet again and he did a lot of tests and x-rays on me. Everything was negative, I'm healthy... allegedly. But, he doesn't understand the reason I drink so much water. He'll be asking other vets for their opinion. I hope he finds out what's wrong with me soon, I don't like to be isolated in a bedroom so I don't pee the entire house.

As you can see, I'm a good girl that loves her Mommy. Maybe, I have a few annoying habits, but then again, who doesn't?

Now I have to tell seven (7) things about me:

1. I get very upset when I want to go out and Mom doesn't let me. It she's sleeping, I climb into her bed, meaw in her face and pull her hair until she can't stand it anymore and throw me out. Well, that's what I want.

2. I love prawns. The Other One taught me to eat them, so now I visit her daily to eat them.

3. I'm a little afraid of my doggy sister Kala. She gets upset and bark at me if I get near her dinner plate. But sometimes I try to invite her to play with me by doing some jumps around her. She acts like she can't see me.

4. I weight ** pounds... yes, like I was going to tell you, JAJAJAJA. You know that I'm husky, not fat.

5. I'm a friendly guy. When we have visitors in the house I come out and greet them. Every time, they talk about how big and handsome I am... I like that.

6. Once, I was lost the very same day of my Mom's birthday. She was crying nonstop for three days until a neighbor found me, all dirty and scared, in a scrubland not so far away from home.

7. Since then, Mom decided that I shouldn't be free all time, so she began to build (CAGES) so called funparks for me and Prince. There has been seven of them and now, the Ultimate Funpark, is under construction.

Now, I have to pass this award to three of my friends. Let me see... oh, that's so difficult because there are so many versatile blogs!

Family Friday: Liah

Hello! I'm Liah, the princess of the house and the youngest, so I'm Mom's little baby. I'm not sure if I'm a dog, I'm either a human baby or a cat (cats are my best friends).


This is me when I was little.

I used to have long hair...

... but, sometimes, I had a bad-hair day.

Now I have it shorter. It's easier to comb and a lot more cooler.

If the plush is a little big I always act with caution.

Mom loves to dress me up, specially at night if it's cold.

My favorite place to sleep is under Mom's bed, or under The Other One's bed, if she's taking care of me.

I love fans. If there's one on, I'm in front of it.

I love my Mommy and I'm always looking up to her face (specially if she's eating chicken, mmmm).

I like to nap on the sofa, sometimes behind the cushions.

On today's post we'll visit the "Paseo de la Princesa", at Viejo San Juan, Pueto Rico's capital. Since it's far away from here, I invite you to go in my very own airplane: The Furry-plane =^..^=

There are soooooo many interesting places at San Juan, a town built since the Spanish occupation in Puerto Rico, centuries ago. The Paseo de la Princesa, go around the big walls that protect part of the city.

The walls are very wide and strong.

There's a corner with some benches and a great view.

This is The Other One's favorite bench under the tree.

And here's the tree. Isn't it magnificent?

And this is the view when you're sitting in the bench.

Here's the "Puerta de San Juan" (San Juan's Door), where you can read an inscription in latin giving the welcome to visitors.

From the Paseo you can see the bahía (bay) the main entrance of many ships to Puerto Rico.

You can see some birds, too, fishing with their loooong beak.

And, if you stay long enough, you can also see personal sailboats...

... and the sunset. Beautiful, isn't it?

Family Fridays: Prince (again)

Last Friday, I was complaining about Mom's petition to share MY BLOG with Prince. I thought my friends would back me up on this, but it was the other way. Some of you liked Prince so much that you asked for a day every week for Prince. I couldn't believe it! But Mom and The Other One liked the idea and talked me into it. So, from now on, Fridays will be "Family Fridays", (and my day off). Every week, one member of my family will have the opportunity to write about himself and post some pics. But, since it's MY BLOG, I'll retain the right to edit every entry- in case someone try to write something negative about me. So, now, I'll leave you with my brother Prince.

Hi, I'm Prince. I'm 6 years old. I'm not as fat as Piru...

Anyway, I used to be very athletic and thin, but since Mom doesn't allow us to go out all the time, I sleep aaaaaalllllll day and I have develop a little round belly.

It seems bigger here, but it's jut the angle of the camera.

I'm the one who lives under the shadow of my famous brother, Piru. Yes, I don't get the attention he gets and all the purrrings and nosetaps from his friends around the world. Everybody always say how handsome Piru is, how beautiful, how this, how that... pfffft! But, I'm not jealous, no, I'm not. Do you know why? Because, in real life I'm the romantic one and I have other characteristics of my catonality that makes Mom love me, too.

As I told you before, I'm the romantic one. Can you resist this face?

I'm the strong one.

I'm, also, the most brave. I'm the one that defends the house from other cats; those intruders run away like crazy when they see how ferocious I get when they invade my territory. Maybe, because of that, I also get the fame to be the most grumpy, but that's not true.

I'm a sweet boy that loves to give Mom headbumps and meaws for prawns, specially to The Other One, because she gives them to me directly into my mouth- *sigh* I love to be spoiled!

And after that prawns bellyful a good nap is a must.

I have to admit that, sometimes, I'm a little harsh, specially when Mom gets me to the vet. As Piru says: I hate vets, I really do. She took me to one the other day because I had an itch that was driving me crazy... and her, too.

First they put you in a cage, inside a car- I hate cars, too- and to the vet even worst. There, someone that you don't know, tries to touch you and put needles in you. Then, they throw you in the cage again and you can't put the bitey on anyone.

Where's the justice?

Back home, Mom tried to give me some medicine. She took my favorite wet food and put a crushed pill on it. She thought I wouldn't notice. What was she thinking?

I won't eat it, you eat it!

Then, she tried to crush it even more and give it to me dissolved with a syringe. I put on such a fight that end up with that horrible mix coming out of my nose. Ugh!

What a horrible taste had that stupid pill!

Mom, I won't take that medicine, I'm out of here.

Well, Piru's friends, it was nice to meet you all. All this writing have make me tired, so I'm going for a little doze now. See ya!Aaaaaaaaawwwwwwnnnnhhhhhhh!

My friend Iñigo Flufflebum, from Rumblebum, is sick. He has a large build of fluid around his beautiful heart and the vet thinks it is cardiomyopathy. He has to stay at the vet at least until Monday, but his Rumblemum brought him his friend Thwack and one of his fleecy blankies. At least, poor Iñigo won't feel so lonely. We are purrring a lot for him and sending him *headbumps* and *nosetaps*, from Prince and me, barks and tail wags, from Kala and Liah, kisses and blessings, from Mom and The Other One, so our friend will feel better soon.

I proved Mom wrong!

JEJEJE... yes, I proved Mom wrong. About what? Well, yesterday I asked my friends for a place to stay until the construction on my house is finish. Mom told me that I'm to demanding and hard to please, and for these reasons I wouldn't find anyone that would want to take care of me. But she's wrong. Yes, Mom, I have friends that love me and want me to move in with them. YES!!! My good friend Mario, from Mario's Meowsings, was the first one to answer my request. Then the beautiful Dolly, from The Little Dog Speaks, also volunteered to have me in her house. And my other good friend Max, from Adventures of a Blind Dog in a Big World, also told me that I have a space in his house. All offers are good for me. So, Mom, start packing my things, I'm out of here.

Tourism Tuesdays: Lares, Puerto Rico

My second Tourism Tuesday: yay!
Today, we're going to visit Lares, one of Puerto Rico's municipalities. Lares is the pink area in the map.

Lares is a historic city known as "La Ciudad del Grito" (The City of the Shout), because in 1868 it was the place where pro-independece rebels wanted PR to gain its freedom from Spain. It was soon extinguished though. They even had their own flag which many Puerto Ricans now consider a symbol of their wish for independence. This event in PR's history will be celebrated next September 23, with a holiday.

The landscape on the way to Lares is beautiful. You can see a lot of different animals and trees.

The geography is very irregular with a lot of mountains.

There were a lot of cows eating grass.

There's a cattle farming.

A small man-made lake for the cattle.

The welcome sign.

A house with the Lares' flag.

Lares' famous ice-cream parlor.

The Heladeria Lares is famous around the world because they are very creative and make ice cream of whatever you can think of. For example, rice and beans ice cream, avocado ice cream and many more. Mmmm, all of them delicious!

People love to go there. There were a lot of people at the ice-cream parlor.

There were a lot of people, too, at the town center square in front of the ice cream parlor.

They had a sculpture of Ramón Emeterio Betances with the flag of Lares.

At the center of the square was a mosaic with the map of Puerto Rico. Here's the west area.

And here's the east area, including Vieques and Culebra.

Mom had to come back home because it was going to rain a lot.

So, if you come to Puerto Rico, don't forget to visit Lares.

The Ultimate Funpark

Yes, as you hear it (or read it), I'm going to have the ultimate funpark. The biggest and the most expensive (at least that's what Mom have been telling me). She hired a man to construct an area with a roof and a fence so I can be there, see everyone passing by but can't go out. That's the detail I don't like, as you know, I looooooove to hang out, and I mean, really out. Anyway, her intentions are good, even though, the area is not only for me, there would be a laundry and a big closet (I love closets, too).

This is the area, it's next to my actual funpark.

In that space it used to be a palm tree where I scratched my nails every morning. Oh, I'm going to miss that tree. Mom saved a piece of log to built me a cat tree; we'll see.

Meanwhile, there have been some inconveniences for me and Prince. For example, a lot of noises that interrupt my daily naps, a lot of dust and I have more work as the inspector of the house that I am.

The man made this big hole to do something with the plumbing. I'm inspecting his work.

It seems like he's doing a good job.

This inspecting thing make me really tired, I better go now and take a nap.

Another thing that is bothering me is that they have taken MY FUNPARK as a warehouse. I have no space! Here's proof.

Look at all those things, I can't walk there.

And the inside is worst. There's not even space for my litter box.

So, I thought that, until the construction is finished, I'll move to another house. Do you, any of my friends, have a little space to share with me and Prince. We are easy going pals. There are just a few little things that need to be known.

We only need:
1. Various places to nap during the day including every bed in the house, couches and chairs.
2. Access to windows to see outside.
3. Access to every door and drawer to check what's inside.
4. At least 8 meals a day of my diet brand (Mom says it's expensive, but nothing is too expensive if it's going to help me maintain my handsomeness and huskyness). A different brand for Prince, he'll eat anything.
5. Permission to go outside to hang out and someone ready to open the door for us whenever we want to come back inside at any time of the day or night.
6. Prawns given to us by hand right into our mouth.
7. Someone to stroke our head at least 10 times a day. Remember not to touch any other part of the body or a bitey will be given.
8. A bedroom with air conditioning, a bed and fluffy pillows.
9. No trips to the Vet and no trips in the car.
10. No snappy dogs, if they get along well with us its ok, they can stay.

Did you see? We're not too demanding, are we?
We'll accept this or a better offer.

So, who will have the privilege to take care of us?

The Other One stayed home today. Mom was working at the computer with something of her work. I wanted to use the computer. The Other One was using hers, but just for a few things, so I waited in a place where she wouldn't forget that I was there. See?

Life is like a day: In the beggining, you can't see very well, the light is poor. Then, everything get it's shape and color and many things happen. You can see the world passing by and participate whenever it's you turn. Finally, things slow down and it gets darker, and you go to sleep.
Sometimes, a day can get rough during a rush hour and sometimes you see something beautiful and you fall in love. Learn from the difficult hours how to be more aware of the beautiful moments... and smile. Find a reason to smile any time of the day, even if it's a rush hour. Mom told me that, because Prince doesn't have a blog, I should share mine with him. I don't think it's fare, IT'S MY BLOG!!!
Then, she said: "I share my computer with you. Why can't you share your blog? If you want to use the computer, you have to learn to share things. If you don't share things, maybe I won't share with you either."
Wow, that was harsh.
Do you know what I did? Yes, I gave her the cold shoulder and went to The Other One's apartment.
"Can I use the computer, please?"
"I know all about the discussion with your Mom, she called me. Yes, you can use my computer, as long as you share your blog with Prince."
What do they think? That I'm going to do whatever they want? I'm the king here, I own all of you! If I had my own computer, this wouldn't be happening!

Anipal Photo Hunt #4: My Bed

This week's Anipal Photo Hunt is: My bed. I knew about this form my good friend @Cokiethecat. Well, I don't have a bed- that sounds sad, but no. You'll see, I have A LOT of beds, because I have many special places where I like to sleep, or jut take a nap. But this time I'll show you just some of them.

My most favorite place to sleep is on Mom's bed, oh, it's so cozy.

Some times I like to sneak into The Other One's apartment and sleep on her bed, specially if she has the fan turned on; I love the fan.

I, also, like to hide under this table for a quick nap.

A really cozy place for a nap is on the back of the couch.

For a more extensive nap, I prefer Mom's favorite chair.

If the temperature is a little hot, I can take a nap on the laundry basket: it's ventilated.
If I have the opportunity, a nap on the backyard is a must, specially under the shadow of a tree.

As you can see, I sleep exactly wherever I want, whenever I want. Oh, this cat's life!

Tourism Tuesdays: Puerto Rico

I know many of you haven't come to Puerto Rico, yet. So, I decided to share with you some interesting information and places you can go whenever you decide to visit my island.

Puerto Rico is in the Caribbean.

First a really brief history of Puerto Rico:
God created the Earth with it's animals and humans, that included Puerto Rico. Then, I was born... at least that's how I thought it was.
But Mom told me that there's a lot more information. The native group of people living in PR at the arrival of Christopher Columbus, on November 19, 1493, were the Tainos. Some years later, people from Africa, France, England and other parts of Europe, came to PR, too. After looooooooots of years as a colony of Spain, PR came to be part of the USA, since 1898. Although, PR has it's own culture, there's a lot of influence from the USA culture, too.

In short, Puerto Ricans are like this unique mix of cultures; it makes us a very interesting group of people... and pets, of course.

There are many world famous people from PR. Ricky Martin, Benicio Del Toro, Joseph Acabá (the astronaut) and a lot more, including me, of course.

I woke up early this afternoon and was waiting near the door for the first one to come home and open it. Fortunately, The Other One came straight from her work and arrived early. When she opened her door, there I was - she thought to greet her- ready to run out. She allowed me to walk around the backyard, she's not as tough as Mom (I think I'll have her in my pocket, if I had any).

Anyway, I was there just hanging around, my sisters were around, too, when suddenly we heard a thunderstorm. There was this huge gray cloud "running" towards us.

Then, of course, it began to rain. The Other One ran to grab me and I ran, too, trying to escape, but she catched me. Apparently, it was some rain left behind by the second storm, Fiona. It seems that not even Mother Nature wants me to hang out.

By the way, I have a little joke and you'll understand it if you have been following my recent posts: they say Shrek will divorce Fiona. Why? Because Fiona is after Earl! JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA......

I'm okey, the hurricane is gone

First of all, I want to thank all the anipals, my old friends and some new ones, that sent me a lot of purrrsss wishing me to be safe during the visit of hurricane Earl. And I want to say thank you, too, to Amy and the House of Cats for talking about me in her blog and asking her visitors to visit my blog, too.

Earl is the first hurricane that passes near Puerto Rico this year. It was a scary one because it was already a classified 4 hurricane before coming nearer. After Earl, there's another storm, Fiona, but it will not come so close- we hope.

What happened yesterday night and this morning? Well, a little while after I said goodbye on Twitter, we went out of electricity, water service went almost out, too. In the afternoon Mom allowed me to be in the garage, but at night she didn't let me out. I wanted to go to my funpark, but she said no, so I got grumpy. She wanted to sleep, but I was miaowing and acting all stressed out. So, she put a table at a side of a close window for Prince and me to see outside the house. I liked that and stayed calm the rest of the night. Prince liked it, too, and stayed there until the morning.

He even took a bath there.

But Mom was a little stressed worring about the roof of the garage that is made in aluminum; nothing happened to it.

During all night, the winds were making a lot of scary sounds and it rained a lot.

I got scared with the thunderstorms and hide under a chair. My sister Kala gets so nervous with that kind of noises that she starts to pant like crazy.

At home, we only got some fallen branches. Kala is inspecting the damages.

But around the island there were some floods, some people had to leave their homes and go to shelters and there were thousands of houses without electricity (http://www.elnuevodia.com/fotodetalle-puertoricobajoelazotedelhuracanearl-769539.htmll). The worst part was at Culebra and Vieques islands, two of PR's municipalities and the two most exposed to the winds of Earl.

At home, it was raining until early in the afternoon. Then, Mom and The Other One, went out to clean the backyard; they didn't had to go to work today, everyone was free. They cancel work and classes. Me? Well, I had to stay inside all day, sleeping, until Mom cleaned the funpark, that was full of leaves and small branches. The rain already stopped and the services are back (water and electricity). Everything is normal again. Thanks for worrying about us, I appreciate it.

About pets, love and abandonment

Strange title, isn't it? I just want to share some insights about this issue.

A few days ago, my Mom went to a government agency and saw this puppy in the parking lot. The puppy, a mix dog with beautiful light blue eyes, was playing with everyone that arrived to the parking. Mom saw that she was running with some children and was jumping around to meet everyone. In short, she was a happy puppy... because she was too young to know what had happen to her: she was abandoned by her former family. One of the agency's employees told Mom that the puppy was dumped there like two or three days before. Mom though of taking the puppy and find her a home, but the puppy was gone when she came out of the office.

I think that some people misunderstand the importance of having a pet in the family. And I will talk particularly about dogs now. For many people, human relationships are hard to maintain in peace for long periods of time. Some say that love declines through the years and even some people end up hating each other. So, many decide to have a dog for a reason: they need someone that gives them unconditional love no matter their looks or age; someone that waits for them even an entire day and receives them with a party; someone that fully trusts them and remains devoted to their master even if mistreated. Many people can't find some or even most of those characteristics in many human relationships; but they can find all of them in a single dog.

People that dump their pets, specially dogs, don't realize that they are throwing away maybe the only opportunity to have a perfect relationship in their entire life. Those people are throwing away a furry symbol of faith, devotion, forgiveness and, specially, love.

The people that dumped the happy puppy will never know the meaning of real happiness. I just hope that the happy puppy will find someone else worth of her.

I have been blessed, every time Mom moves from place to place, she always bring us with her no matter how difficult it have been for her and for us. We appreciate her unconditional love, and that is why I often think about this issue.

Reality show

I was telling a friend that I live like in a reality show. Living with Mom and The Other One, who have several flashy things and follow me up and down, in and out, taking pics of me, leaving me with little time for my private affairs.

Do you see my point? Who can take a bath, take a little nap, eat a peaceful meal or do anything with flashy things illuminating you from head to butt?

Beauty secret

Some of my friends have been asking about my secrets to be so handsome. Modestly, I remind them that if I'm handsome is because nature have been kind with me; that it's not my fault if I'm a mancat model.

Well, I have to admit that it's some of my fault because
it's not easy to maintain THIS full body;
as you know, it's not that I'm fat, I'm just a husky little cat.

Anyway, I decided that I'm going to share a little secret with you all. Yes, one of my beauty secrets is that I have my own water fountain.

It's not the fountain of youth of Ponce de Leon, but the thing that amazes me is that the water is so fresh everytime I drink from it. So, it's out in the open, have your own water fountain and you'll be nearly as handsome as me.

The Other One has a new cell phone that has a better camera than the previous one. So, as always, I was the model she picked to try it.

Good ol' Facebook

I've been a little lazy lately, I know.

But today I wanted to write. What did I find? That The Other One was using MY COMPUTER to check her Facebook account. Well, the truth is that it's her computer, but when I use it it's mine, right? Anyway, I told her that, "if I can't use the computer, I will sit at your side and read everything that you write".

She was a little uncomfortable, but allowed me to stay. That Facebook has a lot of things going on at the same time and you can read almost everything that your friends write on their pages, it appears in your page instantly. I don't know if I should open my own Facebook account. Are you in Facebook? What do you recommend?

My gift basket!!!

Last June, I wrote about a great news I received. Cokie the Cat sent me an e-mail telling me that I won a gift basket The Anipal Times raffle for @Schmittysays' New Yorkie gift basket generously donated by schmittysays.com! Well, I finally received it and I'm very exited!

But first, I want to talk about Schmitty, The Real New Yorkie. I took the information from the label of Schmitty's beautiful plush:

Now, my gift. Mom brought this really big box and I was amazed, I love boxes. But Mom told me that the box wasn't the gift, the real gift is inside; so I went inside.

Schmitty sent me a set of beautiful cards with different themes and the beautiful Schmitty, too.

I don't know how to write with a pencil, but I surely love this beautiful notebook.

This leash is personalized with Schmitty's trade mark; beautiful color, don't you think?

I told Mom I want to be like Schmitty and have my own calendar. This one has pretty pictures of Schmitty and healthy do's and dont's. Really clever idea.

Finally, Mom allowed me to check all my gifts.

In the basket came also a t-shirt. Here Mom was trying it on me. I think that my husky body (as you know, I'm not fat) will fit a little tight there.

Then, I checked the collar. Here I'm reading the instructions.

Schmitty even sent me a beautiful plush.

I even took a little nap with Schmitty's plush; a good nap company.

I wanted to make sure that Mom didn't leave anything in the basket.

Then came that nosey Prince to ckeck my box.

Mom told me that, as a good brother, I have to share my gifts with the rest of the family. I don't like the idea, but I think she's right.

"Come on, Piru, I never receive anything."

He said hello to Schmitty.

And he tried on the cap, but I think that it doesn't fit him well.

He decided to take one of the cards, the John Lennon "Imagine" Memorial in Central Park, card. It's just his style, he said.

The Other One loves caps, so I let her have it. She was thrilled.

Schmitty also sent me a very big and practical canvas bag. Mom loved it and said that it will be perfect to carry her books. So I let her have it; she's my Mom, after all.

Then, Liah came to check out the things.

She inmediately fell in love with the plush, barked at it a little and then started to play. Now she takes Schmitty's plush to bed every night to curl up with it. Mom and The Other One were laughing so much with Liah playing with the plush that they took this little video. I think you're going to laugh, too.

Note: No plush were harmed during this film.

Finally, Liah tried on the t-shirt and it fitted perfectly on her. She looks pretty, doesn't she?

Cokie and Schmitty, I'm deeply touch and grateful of all the joy you have bring my family with all these beautiful gifts. I'll remember this all my life.

Good mistake or wonderful oversight

Oh, my dear friends, yesterday was a great day. Mom left inadvertently one of the fun park's doors open.So, I roam free for more than three hours. What else could I do? This was my first unsupervised hangout in the new house. Ah, those three hours were an absolute delight. I walked, and walked... touched every inch of grass I saw.

I did some exercises.

Checked everything around.

I even checked Mom's car, you know, to be sure she has a save ride.

I walked, and took a nap of course, inside a wooded area.

I checked the premises of the cat-wash to make sure it is a good construction.

And I saw strange critters... oh, I'm sorry, it's just my sister Kala.

I even tried to go farther, but the neighbor have three snappy dogs and they wouldn't let me near their house. Because of them I didn't go visit my other neighbor's yard. But, don't tell Mom this was the real reason. I want her to believe that I am capable of staying around and near the house.

The problem was that, after all those hours, food was needed, so I called Mom. When she saw me she said "how in the world you got out there?". "Simple Mom, you left the back door wide open and I thought it was open for me to leave. Don't blame your mistake on me, I behave, see?... nothing happened to me. This is enough prove that I am responsible to be left alone in the yard."

But no, it wasn't enough prove for her. Now, I'm back into the fun park. She's so overprotective.

Prince and I like to spend some time in The Other One's apartment. I like to sleep on her bed, well, on her pillows to be more exact.

Prince goes every morning and meows until she gives him wet food and some prawns. Then, he shows her some love: he throws kisses at her and let her pet him.

Today, he was in a specially good mood and even sat at her side at the sofa waging his tail. No wonder Mom calls him "the romantic cat"! Here's proof.

An extension of the fun park

Mom is in denial: she thinks that I like to be confined to the so called fun park (jail, really). That's why she continues to make extensions to it thinking that I'm going to feel more comfortable. This time she and The Other One planned and designed an area for Prince and me with dirt and grass on the floor. I have to admit that it was a nice try, but I still prefer to be free to hang out wherever I want. Mom and The Other One like to put names to the extensions of the fun park. The first three areas were: "the master room"(with bath of course), "the first balcony and dining room" and the second balcony. The new extension is called "the cat-wash". Is that related somehow to water? Maybe, because it has an area where we can get wet if it rains, but at least we can get some sunbathing, too. Anyway, here's the new cat-wash and some movies about our first impression when we explored it.

An update on "Save a Gato"

Last July 9, 2010, I wrote a post about the organization Save a Gato, in Puerto Rico, that implement Trap/Neuter/Return cats that live on the streets of the Old San Juan. Well, they were participating in a competition in Facebook to win money in a charity. Well, guess what? They made to the top 200 and won $20,000.00! Wow, that's a lot of money! Massage

Today my human sisters were visiting us. They are physical therapists and know how to give REALLY GOOD massages. I was telling them how stressed I've been lately, since the moving. There have been many stressful events in just less than two months: the moving, the lack of freedom and returning to be confined to a "fun-park" (jail, really), a construction at the house that changed Mom's mood for a while and her gone away vacation. Oh, I don't know how I still have my normal mind! The thing is that one of my human sisters touched me and noticed that I'm stressed, so she gave me a massage that kept me by her side for almost half an hour.

Ohhhhhh, it felt really goooooood.

I left really relaxed and happy. She prescribed at least three massages per week. I think that it's not enough and that Mom should hire a therapist to be with me at least three hours a day. Do you like massages?

People can learn a lot from nature. Many different things coexist in nature creating a balance of forces and beauty. Our earth is like a big body: everything and everyone needs everything and everyone else. Nothing is absolutely isolated.

Intense movement, gentle stillness.

The Other One took this beautiful pic at Niagara Falls. You can see that delicate flower and at the back is one of the falls; water falling with such power that amazes everyone. How can this little and fragile flower can live at the side of a fountain of such strong forces?

New York, New York

As you know, Mom was in New York last week. She was visiting some family and taking some pet-free time (I don't know what that means). Anyway, she took LOTS of pics and I want to share some with you.

First, she went to Buffalo to visit her brother. Did you know that there was an area in the airport for animals to do their "business"?

That's a great idea!

While she was there, she visited the Niagara Falls.

And, did you know that the Rainbow Bridge is right there? Well, not the RB that Piccola crossed last month, but the one that you have to cross to get to Canada.

She remembered Piccola. Oh, tears!

Then, she took another airplane and got to another part of New York to visit her cousin; she stayed with Sunshine and his humans in Staten Island.

I'd like a window like that.

Mom also went to Brooklyn, where she was born.

She visited some museums like the Metropolitan Museum of art.
There, she saw an Egyptian statue that seems to be like a giant cat.

She also went to MoMA, The Museum of Modern Art.

And, of course, she went to the New York Public Library.

She took a boat and went to see the Statue of Liberty.

And went to the Museum of Immigration in Ellis Island.

Wow, that was a full schedule, don't you think?

Mom's back

Yep, Mom's finaly home. What a relief! Mom was hoping for a big reception. My sister Liah did that for all of us. I just walked by her when she got home. She called me and I just kept walking. She was furious- jo, jo. Anyway, I'm glad she's back, now I can sleep in her bed again.

I have good news: I have a cousin in New York. I'm so excited! Mom is in New York, she's visiting her brother and her cousin. The cousin have a cat (Mom says he's beautiful), he's name is Sunshine.

My dad says I'm a lion.

Happy medium

I got to a happy medium with Mom: she asked The Guy (her friend that is taking care of us while she's gone) to help me communicate with her through the Internet. I may not write everyday, but I don't have to wait until she comes back. And talking about it. Just the day Mom left, I received the gift basket from Schmitty The Real New Yorkie that I won at The Anipal Times raffle. Now I have to wait until Mom comes back to open it.
And talking about The Anipal Times, I learned that my dear twin, Cokie the Cat, is having some health problems. That makes me really sad, so I want to send him healing headbumps and loving purrrrssss, and I would like to ask my readers to do that, too. I'm so furious that I could pee on all the furniture around here. There's a big reason. You know that Mom will be away for a few days. Well, do you know what? She's taking the computer with her! Can you believe? So, not only she's not going to be around to help me with my blog, she'll take my computer away. And, whose idea was it? From the other one. There's no justice in this world. So, starting tomorrow I'll be cut off for a few days. Maybe tomorrow I'll put a little note before Mom is gone.
